Objets d'Art, or 'Table Pieces'

Here I offer Objets d'Art, or 'Table Pieces' if you will, which are one-of-a-kind objects which I've hand-fabricated in my Signature Style: each one typically employs a marriage of metals and other materials, both stone and otherwise, which are brought together in service to a statement piece; they may include many techniques, ranging from raising, and hollow-fabrication, silversmithing and goldsmithing, lapidary and decorative stonework, gemstone-cutting and stone-setting, and involve texturing, gilding, patinating, and polishing various metals, ranging from golds of different colours and karats, through to titanium and various bronzes. At times the pieces are so inherently rich that they would better qualify as Objets de Vertu, but my designing still tends to be resolved, without being over-ornate. Each piece addresses a thematic interest of mine, and often commemorates a moment in history. During the past third of a century I have produced many such pieces, which are now all dispersed through public art galleries and museums, and private collections in Australia and around the world. Making such pieces has been the love of my career.
